RESEARCH
Research begins with a visit to Pierides Museum, in Larnaca, for lots of photos (without flash off course).

The selection of the chosen artifacts (figurines, pots etc.) is done after analyzing their form, meaning if it's possible for an organically shaped form to transform into an angular paper sculpture.

High definition photographs provided by the museum are a big help as well as the information on which artifacts the visitors of the museum show more interest about.
DEVELOPMENT
A three dimensional model is created in a software* for 3D design and it must be "low poly" (meaning it must contain as less sides as possible)

Then the model is unfolded using a special software** in order to become flat.

Lastly using a design software*** the final product is designed.

**Pepakura Designer

***Inkscape (open source software)
glue

After the final design goes through a series of tests (paper, design, form, difficulty of assembly etc.) it goes to the printers*.
